Marriage for Isaac and Hannah Hemingway
« on: Tuesday 12 May 20 14:51 BST (UK) »
Hello,

The pair lived in Stanley, but having read up, there was not a parish church there until 1824, hence their earlier children being christened at All Saints’ in Wakefield. Both were from Rothwell, with Isaac being born there in 1787. I can’t find any marriages. Could anyone please take a look?

I’d appreciate any help!

That’s all I could find too! Perhaps if there’s a corresponding baptism in Rothwell...

Wakefield District Baptisms has a baptism for a Nanny Towning 19 March 1792, parents Richard and Jane.

Unfortunately no abode is given, so I can't tell if she was from Rothwell or not.

Is an occupation/abode given for Isaac and Hannah for the christening of their son John? He was born on the 9th of April 1810, and christened in Wakefield on the 25th of March 1811.
