Marriage lookup 1830
« on: Friday 15 May 20 18:01 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I am trying to find the parents of Charles Abra/Abrey bc1807 Mildenhall, Suffolk. He married 1830, perhaps someone is able to see more than just the index?

Thanks

Fathers names were not shown on marriage entries until after Civil Registration - 1.7.1837.  Mothers names are never shown

Fathers names weren't shown until 1837 so there will be nothing there to identify who his father was.

There are trees on Ancestry stating his parents as Richard Abery and Ann Morley who married 15/11/1807 Mildenhall,  - online records show various children baptised from 1813 but none 1807-1812 and I'm pretty sure there will have been some, including Charles.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping there may have been a clue on the marriage entry. I have seen some marriages pre 1837 with witnesses and some that even say 'son of' on the registers. I saw the trees with Richard but there are also trees with a John so would like to find the evidence.
