1939 register

Hi
Has anyone got access to the 1939 register,  is it allowed to do a lookup ?
I know the two main householders have passed away.
Do not have much details sorry.
I am looking for the name Thompson who lived in school lane, onnerely nr madeley  not sure if it comes under staffordshire or cheshire.

It is possible to preview and see if a person is still alive and living on it, but no you can not open the record and share the householder details, that is my understanding and I have established many of my families existing in it

1939 Register was done by council areas - Madeley was in Wenlock Metropolitan Borough.
But can't see any Thompson in School Lane?

School Lane, Onneley is in Newcastle under Lyme RD, as KG says no Thompsons in 1939
