Shipping lookup : Allwright 1841-1851

Shipping is not my forte and I have been unable to find any records for the mid 1800's (from England to Australia).

Family Name: ALLWRIGHT
First Names: Henry (and possibly Thomas, Frederick, John or Sarah)

Details are very scant - basically the ALLWRIGHT family were in the 1841 Census (Heybridge England) but they were gone by 1851, however Henry was married in Victoria Australia in February 1851.

Presuming the port that he(they) left from was in England and they docked in Victoria, although it could have been SA or even Tasmania.

If anyone has shipping records for the years of 1841-1851 that they could look up for me, I would be most appreciative.

I checked the assisted immigrant index for Port Phillip (Victoria), Sydney and Moreton Bay (Brisbane), but came up empty handed for "Allwright".  You can search these indexes yourself at:

I also searched the unassisted immigrant index for Port Phillip and came up with just this entry (however, it's a year late):

Page: 007

There were no other Allwrights with him on this voyage.  The website for this list is:

If you are prepared to do some detailed searching (no indexes), the NSW shipping gazettes are online for the years 1844 - 1855

I have found one family by this method - but I knew the year - and it still took some hours to find them.
