Asperg and Rastall marriages, what happened then?
« on: Monday 25 May 20 12:55 BST (UK) »
I am hoping to find out what happened to these sisters after they married.

This is what I have so far:
Emma Florence Rastall born 1875 North Shields, is with family in 1891 (Waterloo Sq) & 1901 (Dochwray Square).
In 1903 she marries June Q to Widar Asberg. There is also an entry in  Shields Daily News ( May 27)  announcing the marriage and giving the additional information that it took place at Christ Church and that Widai is the  youngest son of Herr Kn?? Asberg of Gefle,Sweden.

Also Gertrude May Rastall born 1889, is with family in 1901, 1911 ( Dochwray Sq)  who marries Ernest V Asberg in 1913

After their marriages I cannot find anything for either of these sisters,  no births, nothing in the 1911, no deaths, no travel. Any suggestions ?What am I missing?

The newspaper article lists Widar Asberg as Widai  - For ref - I wonder if in 1901 he was listed as Widae Asbery age 24 Swedish Subject Shipowners? Clerk lodging in North Shields

Thankyou - I hadn't seen that entry. It does look like a possible good fit - North shields and its  port & Swedish connection.

Hi
Here is the family in Ovansjö Parish, Sweden in 1900. Oskar Vidar Åsberg is recorded as being in England. His brother Ernst Viktor is also recorded:
