Hi just wanted to say thanks for all the help and info you found for Charlotte White and family for me .... :)

Ive received the copy of Charlottes marriage cert. to John Lamb and confirmed her father as William White so finally putting the pieces together for her!

what occupation is given for him?
who were the witnesses?

There's more than one William White in the Winchester area.

Occupation: Labourer
Witnesses Thomas Naylor and Harry Hearne

So, she does seem to be the Charlotte of the 1822 baptism found by Rosie earlier in this thread.

Not seeing an obvious entry for him in 1841. There is a George White 60 labourer not born in county in Middle Brook St with a Mary White 25 but haven't spotted a baptism that would tie in. HO107/409/6 folio 37 pg 16

Yes i think she's definitely the Charlotte Rosie found  :)

I did see that 1841 entry for a George White living in Middle Brook St. but wasnt 100% sure...

Although his son William is living in the same street on the 1851 census with his family.

These Whites haven't made it very easy to track them down!!
