Samuel and Mary SkuseI need

I need help with this family.

Samuel Skuse 1871-1942 married Mary Ann Cottle 1868-1917 in 1889 Bristol.

According to the 1911 census they had 12 children, 3 had died. They did go on to have 2 more.

Mary Ann already had a daughter Elizabeth born 1887, Bristol, she continued living with the family and by 1901 her surname was Skuse and in 1906 she married John Foley.

I have rechecked the census to see if the living children are shown

Harry age 5 (I guess would be William Henry)
Nellie age 11 months (could be Ellen who died in 1903)

Florence age 11 (Hannah Florence)

Bert age 7 (Ernest Bertie)

The 2 other children born later

Is it possible that the father has not counted the children that have left Home?  there are 9 children on the 1911 census. 

Any advise/ideas would be appreciated.

Children who have left home are not shown on parents census if they aren't living there, they will be elsewhere on the 1911 but it will show how many births deaths and how many living,

Thank you Louisa,  Yes the census gives the number of births as 12.  Not counting Elizabeth I have 15 births.  helina

Beats one of my families who were canal people ,  had 14 on the barge but nearly always got back to base in Paddington for most of tbe baptisms
