Brick Wall with Slew family in Newington
« on: Thursday 04 June 20 20:37 BST (UK) »
Hi Everyone,

My 3xGG was Ann Kitto nee Slew born 4th August 1805 at Newington in Surrey to William & Rachel Slew. She died 8 October 1855 at St George's Workhouse, Southwark.

I am REALLY struggling to find a marriage for William & Rachel, and as such am finding it near impossible to go any further back with their families. I have found a few other children for them, the eldest, possible a Thomas, dying in infancy in 1800 in the Parish of St George, Surrey.

It may well be a complete brick wall, made of reinforced steel, but if anyone can help me at all I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks in advance
- Keelan

Always the possibility they never married.

Do the parents appear on census at all or had they passed away by then?

Just wondering if one or other came from Ireland or another area.
