service records - general question
« on: Saturday 06 June 20 15:27 BST (UK) »
I've just sent off for my father's and uncle's service records.  I'm aware that they take some time but does anyone know or have an idea how long these take to arrive .

In normal circumstances it would depend upon (a) how busy they are (b) how much info you have provided (c) the service you applied for i.e. air force, army

A good result was a few weeks but I've known people who have waited 6 months

However, under current Covid related circumstances I would say it is impossible to predict

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I'll just have to be patient, maybe they'll arrive for a Christmas present. :)
