Austria - War Uniform

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me anything or identify this uniform. He was born in Austria, and served over there. I believe the picture was taken during the war.

He's a Gefreiter in the German Wehrmacht, I think.

Austria was annexed by Germany in the 1938 Anschluss.
