Trying to work out the parents of my 2 x Great grandmother, Mary Ann Smith born C 1826.

I have her already married in the 1851 census (to Edward Bourne) B 1826 in Shropshire.

In 1861 she's just Mary Bourne B 1825 in Clee Hill, Shropshire.

In 1871 she's Mary again B 1827 in Corley, Shropshire.

in 1881 she's a widow B 1825 in Clee Hill.

In 1891 she's B 1825 in Corley.

She is resident in Kingswinford in all these censuses.

I've not managed to find any baptism records for her or a record of her marriage to Edward Bourne which I'm guessing occurred in the mid to late 1840s. Their first child was born in 1847.

Any pointers welcomed.

Have you found her death record?
That should estimate her death year and would confirm she was Mary or Mary Ann?
Also how do you know her maiden name is Smith if you haven't found a marriage? Is this from the birth certificates of her children?

There is a marriage for an Edward Bourns (not Bourne) to a Mary Smith

20 July 1846 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire.

Edward's father is William, and Mary Smith's father is Silvanus Smith (which would tie in with the baptism someone found below.)

this is from familysearch.org

Considering they moved to Staffordshire if I've found the correct census for them this seems likely to be their marriage?

I used the GRO site to search for the childrens' births and it lists the mother's maiden name as Smith on all of them.

I have found what I believe is the correct death record. Mary Bourne, Stourbridge, Oct-Dec 1899, Age 75. That puts her birth in 1824 I believe.
