Boyle family in Whitehaven.
« on: Tuesday 16 June 20 12:59 BST (UK) »
Thomas Boyle was from Scotland but lived in Whitehaven during the 1760's and 1770's and possibly the 1780's.
He married Catherine Kaighin from the Isle of Man and several of their children were baptised in Whitehaven (at St James' and also the James Street Scotch-Presbyterian).
Does anyone have any other information about him please? Has anyone researched any Boyle families moving from Scotland to Cumbria?

Thanks, Rob.

Welcome to rootschat, Hichens.

Have you looked in 'Surname Interests' under 'Your Tools' below, to see if anyone else is researching the family?

He married  Catherine 20th september 1766 on the Isle of Man, there are 2 possible births in Scotland 1742 in Renfrewshire parents Matthew Boyle & Margaret Aitken, or 1745 in Argyll father Barnabus Boyle.
