Having exhausted my mum's South London lot (and what a history lesson that was) I am following my fathers line. I can confidently trace back to Victor Mady born about 1803 St Mary le Bow, Middlesex, England (married Harriott Francess/Francis but Banns unfortunately do not include his fathers information ). Anc** offers a possible link father Jean born France. A family story suggest the family arrived when turn of the 19th Century when things turned difficult in France, but it is just a story so far. Any suggestions on other sources gratefully received.
