Elsie May TRICKETT and her son Derek MEREDITH emigrated to Australia from UK?

I've just been told by a newly-found cousin that our joint great aunt emigrated from UK to Australia. Apparently her second husband died and at some point the family became concerned about her and moved her out to Australia to be with them. I have no other info other than "perhaps an outback town".

My great aunt:
Born May 1903. St George's Hanover Square district, Pimlico, London. Elsie May DIGBY
Married her first husband late 1924. London. George Edwin MEREDITH.
They had one son that I can find. Born 1929.
George died young, in 1934.
Elsie married Ernest Bertie TRICKETT Q1 1950 in Wandsworth, London. They lived together at Killarney Road, Wandsworth until Ernest died 30/3/1961.

I did have Elsie down as dying in 1982 but the part of London doesn't really make sense. There is also the death of an Elsie M Trickett in Birmingham in 1962 but again it does not make sense. Then my cousin said she emigrated to Australia, possibly with part of her family (her grown up son??).

I have not been able to successfully track the grown up son, nor Elsie after 1961. I know her older brother Sydney also died 1961 and they were close, so it may be that having lost both her husband and brother in one year, she left straight away? But she would have been 58 at that point.

Can any of you help me track either the son or Elsie in Australia please? I've not been successful in my searches so far.

A tree on Ancestry shows she died 24.4.1999 Freemantle & son Derek George Meredith died 21.3.2001 Armadale

Shows son married twice - 1957 Cheshire & 1971 Glamorgan
