Missing familysearch.org images
« on: Saturday 04 July 20 12:22 BST (UK) »
Through looking at indexes of estate files (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C913-PPXC?i=428&wc=WV44-9T7%3A1598052325&cc=2517051(, I managed to find my great-great-great grandmother Elizabeth Arrison's estate file, number 1896 in the collection South Africa, Western Cape, Estate files, 1958 (https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/2614908?availability=Family%20History%20Library).
However, estate files 1828 - 1936 seem to be missing from the collection altogether. Is there any way I can find and view Elizabeth Arrison's estate file? Did familysearch forget to put the records on the website, forget to scan them or are the records destroyed?

Those records are in the Cape archives (currently closed) it would appear that not all volumes have been put up - one would think they have been imaged but maybe they have mislaid the film! From NAAIRS MOOC   6/9/24521   1896/58   ARRISON, ELIZABETH. ESTATE PAPERS.   1958   1958 . YOu can use this reference to order the documents from the Cape Archives when they re-open - their charges are modest
