Identification of person in photo please

My next thought was Colin Cowdrey, but he was born 1932 so if 1960/70 is correct for the photo's date it can't be him.  How sure are you about the date ?

He was more well known as I said, I would not call him famous.

Yes you are right, Ian, it cannot be Henry Blofeld, wrong age.

Whoever it was must have been in their late forties or in their fifties when this was taken as we can all see. If this was taken say in the middle sixties for want of a closer date then the suggestions come down to:

Barry Bucknell born in  1912  which would make him 53 in 1965.
Brian Johnson  born in  1912  which also make him 53 at that date
Hugh Greene   born in  1910  which makes him a couple of years older.
Percy Thrower  born in 1913  which would make him 52 then

I do not think it was Hugh Greene or Percy Thrower, which leaves us with Barry Bucknell and Brian Johnson. 

Bit further forward perhaps!!

I found that list and looked through it a few days ago as I thought that he looked like Tom Graveney, nobody on the list is anywhere near the Ops image

I posted his image on the 7th but nobody has picked up on it.
