Jerzy Sikorski, Egypt 1942

Could anyone please clean up the reddish brown stains on this photograph.  The man in the picture is Jerzy Sikorski and he appears to be in army uniform.  Picture was taken in Cairo in late 1942 but he ended the War as a wireless operator in Wellington bombers in Coastal Command in England - a mystery to solve!  Many thanks.

I think his headgear could be an RAF side cap with a free Polish badge attached.

He is RAF so the cap should be RAF blue.

Thank you Rosie99, I saw that too, but it's nice when somebody else is aware.
I have done a colour version too, but I haven't got an app that autimatically colours photos, in my opinion I don't like them so this is AMOW (All my own work).
