W D Watson - Family and Birth Record
« on: Monday 20 July 20 11:05 BST (UK) »
Hello All,

I am trying to find the birth record of William Douglas Watson, born January 16th  1900. Records state that he was from Blundellsands in Liverpool.

I can see him in 1911 at a public school in Whitehaven but I cannot find him in 1901 so have no details of his family.

Thanks,

Paul
I lived in Ardwick, Manchester in the early 1960s as a small child and much travelling of the world has now led me to want to know more about my roots. Carter, Beckwith, Connolly, Heron and Kelly are all names that form part of my family tree.

Yes, its the same man only he didn't emigrate (it might show that as a heading).
He travelled extensively during the war years to the USA, Australia etc on war business as he was a quite high ranking officer.

The GRO does not have a birth of a William Douglas Watson anywhere in England in 1893 + or - 2.
The closest is a William Duncan Watson, Liverpool, 1894 D Quarter

Yes, I have that. But it still didn't help me find his birth record or his family.......

One of the 1919 wedding announcements said his father was Commander Watson from Blundellsands. So I have some information but cant put it together.
