His description lists:

I believe his native place is supposed to be Kidderminster on the first record and Linton on the second.

7 July 1838 - Hereford Times - Hereford, Herefordshire, England

William Harris, aged 32, of the parish of Bromyard, labourer, was charged with stealing on the Dec. last, at the parish aforesaid, one fustian jacket value 2s. the property of Richard Griffiths.  Prosecutor proved the loss of his jacket, and Sarah Tyler deposed that prisoner sold it to her. The prisoner cross-examined the witnesses with great minuteness. The jury returned a verdict of guilty against him and he was sentenced to fourteen years' transportation, having convicted before.

The Linton listed as his origin in the second link Debra posted ties in well with Bromyard.

There are two Linton parishes in Herefordshire and I live in the Linton Parish that adjoins the eastern side of Bromyard

Added - the local history centre keep parishes records but are closed at the moment https://bromyardhistorysociety.org.uk/

Hullo,
It is indeed Herefordshire where this Trial took place in 1838.
Thanks for your interest.
Kind regards.
