Agreed, a British Army pension index card for reg. no. 5870 John McKenna of the RGA (128 HB) who died on 25 March 1918, mentions wife Jane of 7 Linfield Street Dungannon, but more importantly mentions a child John 'Lee' Mckenna born on 18 September 1912 ... so it's pretty well beyond reasonable doubt that it's the correct John McKenna, despite the minor forename difference (Lee -v- Leo) for the son.

Hmmm, I'm not entirely sold on this McKenna-O'Hagan birth. :-\  Not least because it took place in Belfast and father Bernard was recorded as a policeman:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1878/02956/2082887.pdf

I'm not ruling it out, it's just that when I track back Sinann's information at reply #3 about the 1911 census return for house 4 in Railway View, Dungannon, I lean towards this 1901 census return for the family:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Tyrone/Dungannon/Shamble_Lane/1740208/

And the above 1901 census return information (ie. children's details) points to a couple called Bernard McKenna and Bridget Mullan, who married in 1874: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1874/11253/8126950.pdf

I can see Irish births/baptisms to this couple from 1878 onwards.  I can also see an 1881 Scotland census record that might suggest they lived in Scotland after they married and had a son John c. 1876 and a daughter Sarah (born in Ireland - I can provide the birth registration).  Awaiting reaction from the OP  :)

I was looking at the same 1901 Census but than the Mullan put me off, thought crossed my mind that Bernard could have married twice, but like you decided to wait for the OP to comment, that Scotland evidence looks good though.
