I've just been told by my cousin, that Brian born 1936, and his brother Sam Johnson born 1939, were sent to a Farm, somewhere in Hertfordshire, this would have been after 1948 when their mother died.

My cousin remembers visiting them there with Wendy their sister. (these children are deceased)

Perhaps the Farmer had children that can remember them?

Are you looking for the farm they were sent to?

Why were the children sent there? Was it a privately owned farm or somewhere that children who had lost parents were sent, and where they worked and learned skills?

If your cousin can remember the surname (and ideally forename of at least one of the people who lived at the farm, you might be able to find them in post office or electoral records.

No I'm afraid not, I think Wendy and my cousin were just so excited to see Wendy's 2 brothers.

He did say this though, "It was on a Sunday and we missed the last train home.  Police advised our parents and they arranged that we spent the night in an old Folkes home. Couldn’t get to sleep with all the coughing and snoring"
