Only option now is to see Liverpool Electoral Rolls for Liverpool at the 1911 address and work backwards for parents David and Leah.  Both Anc. and FindMyPast do not have them in their Liverpool Rolls.  So when I can get to the UK eventually make a trip to Liverpool Records Office.

David won't have been eligible to vote unless he was naturalised British.

Looking again at Gallicrow's find in 1901 (reply #10 above), the Silverstein family, I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss this.

Despite the different names, three of the forenames match, the father 'Solomon' is a bootmaker, and the address is only about a mile from the 1911 address that you have for your Goldstein family.

I would advise looking for this Silverstein family in 1911, when you already have your family elsewhere. If you can't find them in 1911 to eliminate them, I would certainly keep them on file as candidates.

When researching Jewish families it's advisable to be very flexible with names, both surnames and first names, as well as places of birth. Many Jewish people have two or three first names (Russian, Yiddish, Hebrew, English etc.), and you never know which they will choose to use at any one time.

You also don't know who filled in the household schedule for the 1901 census, and how well-informed they were. Just something else to bear in mind.

Will follow that lead. Yes I know names change and that makes it harder.  My mother was born Annie. Always called Pearl. Documents show Annie/Anne Pearl/Pearl Annie. An uncle born Reuban was known by his Yiddish name.  My g.father went by Hyman and Chaim. My Boler ancestors - Bowler/Boaler/booler/Boler.

Thanks

Have you tried putting
Lazarus, year of birth + or minis 2 years, in 1911 search
130 Lazarus to look through, might be worth a try

It's been established that Lazarus is living in Liverpool with his widowed mother and sister Gertrude in 1911.

Edit: Thanks Heywood, have removed my image of 1911 census.
