I'm trying to trace my 2 uncles that lived at number 35 Greenhow Terrace, Benwell. I know they lived at number 35 from 1948 to 1970 as they appear in the register of electors.  I dont know where they went after that.

J W Charlton born 1920's - no date of death found - could he still be living?
At some point I believe step nieces/nephew may have resided there also

I married (my wife) in the sixties and the only property available to rent was in Greehow Terrace Benwell. As we were both far too young to know better we took a bottom flat in Greenhow Terrace. That's where it all went wrong, Benwell was being demolished and couples were being relocated to a to new estate on the outskirts of Newcastle

You will have to register to search but it is free. I suggest you look at the year 1998, if I'm looking at the right person I'm sorry to say that he died the month after John. He also left a will.

Hi, J W Charlton died 7/1998 aged 71 in Newcastle upon Tyne. dob 26.5.1927. Both he and his brother have mothers maiden name as Greive. They appear together on 1939 register.
