Cotton family from Newlyn Cornwall to Vancouver

I know little about the life of a distant ancestor Samuel Cotton born 1851 Newlyn . All the records say is that he emigrated with Wife Sophia Cotton and family from 1905 in Newlyn to Vancouver Canada. As part of my family history i wish to learn more about there life in Canada. So if anyone could help me here i would appreciate it .

Canadian Passenger List - Samuel Cotton born 1853 - aged 59 years -  - Liverpool to Montreal arriving 25 October 1912 - on the Empress of Ireland. Also travelling Sophia 59 years, Eliza Harvey Cotton 18 years - Sophia Cotton 26years. All golng to Vancouver.

So emigration was 1912 - not 1905 as in opening post ???

Son Samuel Cotton died 27 October 1957 - Vancouver BC.
