The Close, Jaywick Sands

Does anyone know anything about The Close? A distant relative of mine was there on the 1939 National Register, she was married but her husband was living alone in Edmonton, London.
Tenants are four unpaid domestic duties ladies, followed by two redacted, one at school and another redacted.
She was married in Edmonton in 1928 so I'm puzzled as to why she is in Jaywick in 1939.

Possibly on holiday? The Close is a street near the beach. What is the house number?

Would a wife go off on holiday without her husband?
It’s strange all four ladies have unpaid domestic duties as occupation, there are no men and three redacted who I presume are minors. One could be her son born 1923 although I know he is deceased
I think it was number 18 but would have to bring up the computer to be sure.

I have found a few wives living apart from their husbands on 1939 Register, usually with family. My guess is they moved out of London for safety while the husbands remained in the family home.

In addition to Eyre and Moody being neighbours, the other two seem to have been sisters

Many thanks everyone, I think you've cracked it!
All neighbours, and presumably as nanny jan said sent away for safety with their children.
Perhaps one of the other ladies had connections with Jaywick.
