Clayton/Cleaton Llanidloes

Any information on the birth and parentage of Edward Clayton appreciated.   In 1861 he was living at Glanfraed Factory in Talybont, Cardiganshire.   At that time he was 34 years old and born in Llanidloes, an unmarried woollen weaver.   Does not tie in with a marriage in 1855?
In about 1855 he apparently married Elizabeth Williams of Tyrmynach, Cardiganshire and they had a number of children.

That's all the information in 1861 ie name Edward Clayton, age 34, born Llanidloes, Montgomery, single, wool weaver.   Address Glanfraed Factory, Talybont, Cardiganshire.   He was living with other employees.

It looks like the Edward who married 1856 could be a different family as his son Edward John died in 1858, while the other Edward's son, Edward of simialr age, is on the 1881 census.

The later history of the family is in Cardiganshire, however, here goes......
A possible marriage took place in Montgomery 1854 Jun qtr, 11b/472 between Edward Clayton and Elizabeth Breeze.  I can find no record of Elizabeth Breeze born abt 1830 in Cardiganshire, see census details.

Elizabeth Jones is the daughter of David Jones and Mair or Mary Clayton who was born about 1856 dau of Edward and Elizabeth Clayton.   I have my grandmother Elizabeth Jones's birth cert.

I can find no death recorded for a Elizabeth Clayton prior to 1869 in Wales.   there is a marriage between Edward Clayton and Elizabeth Williams in March 1869, Aberystwyth dist, 11b/110 and she died in 1910 age 81.

My original request was for info on forbears of Edward Clayton but any help with the rest appreciated.   Perhaps Edward married twice

They didn't seem to be in the habit of registering births as far as I can see.

Margaret was born 29 Dec 1868 according to school register, so you'd expect the birth in march qtr 1869.

1861 census might help, but chunks of Llanbadarn Fawr missing (including my ggreats).

1871 Edward Cleatton is a farm servant in Elerch.

When did Mary Clayton marry?

I'm doing well thanks, despite the heat and restrictions in Spain.
I can't find a record for the marriage but Elizabeth Jane Jones's birth cert  - born 18 Mar 1877, Eliza Jane, father David Jones a tailor of LLwynprisk, Trefeurig, mother Mair Jones formerly Cleaton.
Coincidently and oddly there is a marriage for a David Jones and Margaret Clayton in Sep 1868, Tregaron dist, 11b/123,   He must have had a bike!
