Cox Family of Cirencester
« on: Sunday 16 August 20 19:14 BST (UK) »
Mary Ann Elizabeth Cox, nee Gwilliam, with husband Thomas and children Thomas Henry (b1891) and Olive Ellen (b1892) moved from Cirencester to South Africa between 1892 and 1901. They stayed in the Capetown area. They had 2 more children in South Africa, Victor Gwilliam and Sylvia Dorothy. Thomas Henry died in 1912 in Somerset Hospital Capetown. The other 3 children were all alive in 1930 (from SA probate records) Nothing is known about Victor after 1930. In 1930 Olive was married and her married name was Bruce, nothing else known. Between 1930 and 1938 Sylvia married Ian Mackenzie Innes. They had 2 daughters (from probate records). Ian was killed in 1941 when serving on board HMSAS Southern Floe which hit a mine in the Mediterranean. Thomas (sen) died in 1930 and Mary Ann in 1946. Any information on what became of Victor and Olive and the death of Thomas Henry would be much appreciated.

There is a marriage record which might match the son "D V" born about 1934 and named on the UK return passenger list.
