William Harris

After William Harris was tried at Cornwall Assizes 29th July 1837
he was transported to Van Diemen's Land on the Ship "Lord William Bentinck"
arriving Hobart Town 11th April 1838.

Trying to find a physical description of him, height for example also
any clues re his parents.
Hope sks can help me.

Cornwall OPC site has following details.
William Harris. Age 22. Offence "curtilage breaking"
7 years transportation.
Source. Cornwall Criminal Records. National Archives.

Might it be worth contacting them to see if they still hold a copy of the source material?

P S.  Cornwall OPC site has detailed record of trial of William Harris .
Search "Person Search" William Harris 1837.
Select "Institution Inmates" Bodmin Gaol

Record  shows residence as Illogan.
Had Tattoo "W A H"
William Andrew Harris baptised Illogan 25 June 1815. Parents -  Matthew (porter) and Mary.

Not positive proof, but a possibility.
