Hello Jon.
....so did he stop working as a Silversmith between 1851 and 1871 and started a grocery shop? Did the work dry up? Did he start the business for Elizabeth? I haven't found another Edward Pinnell so I feel confident it is the same family and that he did marry Elizabeth Major. If anyone can tell me different I would appreciate your input. I will keep an open mind though.
Thank you for the info on James Major. I haven't started that family yet.
Regards
Maggie

Edward Pinnell is in the PO London Directory as a grocer at 25 Belvedere Place from 1861-1869.
He is also at the address in the London Land Tax Records on ancestry, appx 1862-70, Mr/Edwd/Ed Pinnell, in St George the Martyr.

So about ten years, or just under, there.
John

Thank you, John. I subscribe to Findmypast but I will be going back to Ancestry next month. It seems a better site.
