Donovan family Portarlington help please
« on: Tuesday 01 September 20 07:44 BST (UK) »
Hello
I have just started the family tree on my mother's side but cannot find records regarding my grandmother's parents.  If anyone can help I would be very grateful:

Grandmother Teresa Malone. B. Nov 22, 1908. in Portarlington
Teresa's parents are Elizabeth Malone (nee Donovan) B. 1886 and John Malone B. circa 1880.
Teresa's name on her birth certificate is Teresa Malone

In the 1911 Census Teresa lives with her grandfather William Donovan and grandmother Eliza Donovan (nee Fox) and is using the surname "Donovan"   Her mother and father are not listed.

I have not been able to find any information about Teresa's parents, Elizabeth and John.  No marriage or death certificates.  The only documentation I have is Teresa's birth certificate.

Thank you.

You do know that Elizabeth was born in 1886.

According to a family tree on ancestry, John was born to Thomas Malone and Margaret McDonald.

The family tree further purports that Eliza and John went to Pennsylvania and had 3 more children.
Lastly, they claim that John dies in New Hampshire in Dec 1974.
