Hi there,

Is it likely to be all in the one handwriting .... the clergyman's handwriting.  ?

Could you consider taking a snip of the top section, where the headings are When and where married, across to Birthplace and attaching that .... you  need to change your file name each time  :) you try attaching.

I am looking at a Qld marriage cert, issued several decades ago, for a marriage in 1887.  Is yours a digitised image or the older style document?

Right, so using your snip tool take a snip of a section of the marriage where you need help deciphering the handwriting... take it after you have zoomed into your pdf.  call it snip 1 of 10 Sept  nd save it as a jpeg.  AND then take another snip of the next section where you need deciphering help.  Call that one, snip 2 of 10 Sept.

Start a new reply on this thread and attach both those snips.

That way any of the regulars on this board can decide if they can read the handwriting and help you further

Hello margill68,

If you are having problems attaching an image it will come up with an error message, eg image to large (can be no larger that 900kb) and it has to have a unique filename, if someone has called an image "scan1" you may need to re-name you filename to something different.

Regards

Sarah
