Theodora Ward, given away as a baby
« on: Saturday 26 September 20 16:37 BST (UK) »
Theodora Ward born 1910 Pontypridd.
On 1911 Census for Cardiff, 14 Walker Rd East Moors, Splott, age 1 with father James Ward and family.
According to my grandmother Elizabeth Edwards (Theodora' half-sister), her parents gave Theodora away to their German neighbours as they did not have children of their own.
The German neighbours are on the 1911 census for Cardiff, William and Alma Breseman from Hamburg.
I can't find out what happened to Theodora.....any help would be great.

I see that the Bresemans had had two children, both of whom had died, from the 1911 Census details

Added:  and that they were visitors to the Ward family, rather than lodgers.

My grandmother said that as a child she was left to look after the 'Ward' babies, so as the Bresemans had no children James Ward gave them Theodora  :-[

I did find the family on the 1911 census

I wonder if they adopted or just kept  Theodora and changed her name.

This is difficult    All the very best
