Corpus Christie, Miles Platting
« on: Tuesday 29 September 20 11:57 BST (UK) »
If anyone has access to the Registers for the above church, could they possibly give me the details of a Baptism in 1891.

It is for " Maria Bertha Lee", with the Father Joseph. If it is my missing Baptism it would be in the second half of the year.

Many thanks, Eric.

Eric, would love to help but!!

Do you have a birth registration for Maria Bertha Lee as I cannot find a thing on GRO index or Freebmd. Do you have her parents full names with mother's maiden name and do they appear in 1901 census and if so can you give ref details.

The baptism comes up on MLFHS's Catholic index and I think it may be for a Baptism for a Bertha Lees born 3q 1891, St Georges.

Was hoping someone may have the Baptism records to verify it

The index shows the mother as Elisabethae Joannae Harvey so all looks well.

This is the family in 1891, 1901 and 1911:

It looks like it was a second marriage for the father. There is a son Joseph, who could be the godfather as previously mentioned.

I think this may be the first marriage:

Thanks Jamjar

You do indeed have the correct family. I have the Baptisms for the rest of the family thanks...they were at St Chads & St Edmunds. This one eluded me and I never thought of Corpus Christie.

All the evidence points to it being the correct one. I was just looking for confirmation. Hopefully, the register would show the Mother's Maiden name and an address. The Mother was Eliza Jane and there was a brother Joseph.

The register does show the mother’s maiden name  :) but obviously no address in the indexes.
