Some help with Mary Johnson please.
« on: Wednesday 30 September 20 14:19 BST (UK) »
Hi there,

I'm trying to find some more information about my 3xGreat Grandmother.

From the records I've found on Ancestry and other sources, I believe she was born circa 1805 in Trentham.

I think she married Joseph Hughes on 17 Oct 1836 in Stoke. They had two children, Louisa and Emma Jane.

Joseph Hughes died in 1839 and at some point after that I believe she married William Powner but I cannot find this marriage. Their first child, Maria was born in 1842 so I think the marriage must have been before that date.

I also cannot find any baptism records for Mary so I haven't been able to work out her parents either.

Thanks,
Richard.

The image for the 1841 marriage is available on FindMyPast.

Added:  as is the 1836 marriage.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
