Eadie Cotton
« on: Sunday 04 October 20 14:54 BST (UK) »
I hope someone with access to South African records can find any records about Eadie Cotton who was born on 25 Feb 1903 on Bethnal Green, London and emigrated to South Africa after 1939 when she was unmarried and living with her disabled father, a widower, in Bethnal Green.  He died in 1945.  She may have married in South Africa or died a spinster there.  I hope someone can find out when and where she died and was buried or cremated.

How do you know that she went to South Africa?

In 1946/7 Eadie Cotton seems to be living with her brother Herbert and his wife Clara in Deptford. In 1948 she’s still in Deptford, but at a different address.
And, in 1965 an Eadie Cotton is listed in Southgate.

A relative told me that she emigrated to South Africa.  Where did you find her living in Southgate in 1965?
