I found a newspaper article at Newspapers.com which in the 'The Province 22/9/2015' it gives a Geoffrey Arnold Turrell who passed away Aug 6 2015, in Richmond, BC, born 2/10/1924 in which it says that he had many relations in the UK. Thus I wonder if this could be my cousin as above-it seems to fit but might be a 'red herring.'
As I've nothing except the above about him other than his parents and siblings, I guess he could have emigrated?

If Joan was Geoffrey's wife this could help find a marriage (and hopefully the certificate would name his father).

It's a long shot, but might Canadian Airways have a personnel record for a technician?

The Nottingham Evening Post 11 June 1949 carries a report of the marriage of Mr Geoffrey Arnold Turrell and Miss Janet Hanley. The only mentions of the Groom's family are his parents , Mr & Mrs
Turrell of Colwick and his brother Mr D Turrell  , the Best Man.

Is there a Nottingham connection ?

Edit : It appears she married again in 1953 in Nottingham

But we didn't, so it was useful. 

So, we need to investigate the gap between the 1949 marriage and the 2015 death.

3 Turrell/Hanley births on Freebmd, no death found in the UK

The only TURRELL/HANLEY (including variants) birth on FreeBMD after 1949 was in Nottingham in Jun qtr 1952, the others were 1938 Grimsby, 1940 Grimsby, and 1948 Brighton (TURRILL) so probably not related.

The one who passed away in BC had a widow called Joan so suppose the marriage to Joan E M Allsopp may fit?
