But we know what the master plan is, England, Wales and Scotland, they are buying time in the hope that an effective vaccine will arrive.

So slow down the inevitable deaths, stop hospitals being overwhelmed (whatever happened to the nightingales) and hope you might get re elected.

The care home problem is unsolvable, so long as people need close personal attention feeding washing  dressing etc and you have no way of knowing if your staff are symptomless silent spreaders what can you do?

How can China test 11 million in three days, spain can test Milan, we can only loosely test a couple of hundred thousand less those who were sent to a nonexistent test centre.

Even here on rootschat we have people abiding by the rules, but still doing permitted things which I think are unwise, so I use commonsense, basically don’t mix with anyone indoors and don’t go near a restaurant.

We are not really comparable, Australia’s cities are spread out, most of ours are within a couple of hours from the rest, I could and did visit two or three in the course of a days work, so long as people are at work the virus will spread.

Interestingly the Welsh first minister said he is buying time, not that he is solving the problem.

All lockdown does is postpone the inevitable.

Apart from the Hospital for eyes ,and skin lesion that needed checking and Drs, for  flu jab and five minutes at Tesco  I have not left the house since lockdown .
Granted my son took me to hospital and  Drs, but he is my  “bubble “.
Yes a walk, but alone and in a very quiet cemetery when I almost never see anyone else and distancing is perfectly easy.
The nearest anyone has been to me is horrible neighbour !
At Hospital tomorrow ,eyes, again.
So son will take me and wait outside ,drive me home but not come in the house.
Can’t do any less really other than to neglect things .

Politics and finance are ruling things now, perhaps something like a Wartime Coalition Government is the answer.
It   seemed to work with Attlee and Churchill , however it was known where the “enemy” was pretty well then ,we could go get him,this Phew !
We owe our NHS to those Socialist Politicians in great part , Bevan ,Bevin  Morrison ,etc
I remember it well,and how Drs opposed it!
Oh dear, such a long way to go and no end in sight .
I am so glad my O H is not here ,for him, he would be so upset not seeing Flash Harry as he grows up and our grandchildren as responsible adults .
Our children almost pensioners themselves ,well the boys .
I know how I feel , so he would too.
We can but do our best ,abd hope others come to their senses too.
Hope everyone and your families are alright ,I know there are health problems amongst RootsChatters , and great sadness too.

Approximately 94% of the Victoria cases were in Metropolitan Melbourne, the remainder spread across the state.

Also the Rule of Six (mixing of ones from different households) I feel is too dangerous as it also increases the risk.

It’s a decision we will all have to make eventually, do we continue to live an an intolerable life or do we take our chance.

I think the crunch will come the first sunny day next spring, with or without a vaccine.

Oh for an instant test, an antibody test and confirmation or denial the having caught it you have a period of immunity.

Stop talking super scientists and get on with it.
