Collins Street, Belfast?

Hi all,

I'm trying to trace a relative Edward McVeigh, m. Nov 1879 to Mary Holmes in St Matthew's. The 1901 census says he is from County Down, father Robert McVeigh, a carpenter.

His residence at the time of the marriage is Collins St, Belfast. I can't seem to find it on historical maps - any ideas?

It may be near Plevna St, which was on the Falls Rd - I think his first child, Rose, was born there in 1880.

My best guess is Colin Street, which ran from Falls Road to Ross Street, with Mary Street running off it. If one person is saying it and another person is writing it down, it would sound like Collins Street, if you know what I mean!

Type in Belfast, select OSNI Historical Second Edition (1846-1862), zoom in and pan across to the Falls Road to view Colin Street directly opposite North Howard Street.
