emma hancock dale
« on: Sunday 25 October 20 17:57 GMT (UK) »
hi
I'm trying to find out more information about a relation of mine. Emma Hancock married Reginald Henry Dale and they emigrated to Hamilton Ontario, Canada in 1930. I have them on the local voters role in 1946  at Nipissing, Ontario.. He died that year and she was shown as a widow. After that nothing.

If anybody could help me it would really be appreciated!

It helps if you can give dates of birth so that we can confirm we have the correct person.

There is this entry on find a grave

24 July 1946 - Reginald Henry Dale

Cimetière Mont-Royal Outremont, Montreal Region, Quebec.

Canada Voters List 1935 also shows Mrs Emma Dale - married woman - Nipissing - no Reginald listed.

There is a death registration for Reginald Henry Dale.  226 Grosvenor Avenue Hamilton Ontario but the date of death  is 15 June 1941. wife Mrs Dale.
Burial Westmount Memorial - 17 June 1941

Could be this entry:- Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid. This does not give dates.

DALE, Reginald   White Chapel Memorial Gardens   Wentworth   Hamilton   HM-174-1

You could try contacting the cemetery to see if she is buried with him ?

Or did she remarry ?

Thank you Sandra that is the right family as they were related to the Scearces. That takes me up to 1957. Emma Hancock was born in Staffordshire in March 1893...  Reginald Henry Dale was born in January 1888 in Staffordshire UK They married in Newcastle under Lyme in Staffordshire in 1915 and emigrated in about 1923.  Reginald died in June 1941 in Hamilton Ontario and I have seen his death certificate so I know that to be true. It’s finding out more about Emma that is my task!
