The marriage banns in parish church by licence 12 th Oct 1887
give her age as 42
Frederick was 46
Both parents declared as deceased
Her father given as Henry FULLAGAR

#But census and her baptism have him as William .that is a different Eliza Fullager* modified

The marriage  cert shows it was by licence. It was not after banns. Marriages by licence could be  for a variety of reasons. In this case it seems to state that he was resident in Maidstone not Stepney.

Thanks
So what I thought was banns , was the marriage being solomnized in the parish church

There's a record after her son's death 1967 seeking relatives which gives her birth year as approx 1845
*Modified * I thought it was 1866

Hi going on the dates above you say she was born in 1866 but there is this birth

Eliza Susannah Fullager born in 1845. Can be found in census with father Henry and mother Charlotte in Boxly Kent. I cannot see a relevant 1866 birth

I agree with Tazzie. Everything seems to point to the 1845 birth.

Further to a reason for  her marriage being by licence it took place 12 Oct 1887. Son Arthur Henry Russell would appear to have been born 21 Oct 1887 in Boxley, Kent.

So Eliza I was looking at was Eliza Ann F. Father George a brewer
She married a WARBURTON
This Eliza married Frederick RUSSELL who was a widow

The licence was to enable them to marry in a church. " The church allowed them to avoid the delay and publicity of calling banns on 3 successive Sundays by providing, for a fee, a marriage licence".

The quote is from a familysearch wiki article on the subject. Link to this article below.

You might also find it of use to look at some public trees on Ancestry. In this case they seem to have a lot of well researched detail.
