William Joseph Eddicotte

Don’t know if I am posting this in right place or not. Was wondering if someone could look up info on William Joseph Eddicotte who ( according to Ancestry.com ) was born at Moretonhampstead, Devon in July of 1824 and later ended up in Newfoundland, Canada. He is my GG grandfather.

There may be other children also.

There is a private tree on ancestry that says he was born Hampstead Middlesex with the same birthday.

So go over the information you know for certain is correct and work back from there.

Checked the census for William Endicott born 1802 Moretonhampstead he never married 1851,1861,1871,1881 he is always listed as Unmar.
Unless his wife died before 1841 and he considered himself unmarried.

Thank you all for this information. I am not the best at this genealogy stuff but am going to look over all this info and try and find out more. Unfortunately I am unable to access any of the paid sites such as Ancestry because of lack of funds.
