Patrick Carolan killed 1926.

Hi im looking for any info relating to the death of Patrick Carolan in an accident in a sawmill  called 'Sinamore saw mill' (the Sinamore spelling may be incorrect)

The inquest took place on 10th march 1926 and the death registered in the 'Ardee' district.
I am interested to discover Patricks next of kin/wife name, Patrick was 45 at time of death.

This is a possibility for his marriage in 1913 to Mary A Hughes. He’s living in Smarmore. Two daughters born in 1914 and 1915.

In terms of your query, the newspaper accounts I've seen thus far only mention 'wife and young family', they make very grim reading - I can pm you details if you wish.

The Dublin Evening Herald of 10th March 1926 carried the story. Patrick had been working for the Smarmore Castle Estate when the accident happened. The report mentions that he left a wife and young family but did not give any names.

Registrar's District - Ardee

Rose Anne Carolan, daughter of Patrick Carolan, a Labourer, of Smarmore and his wife Mary, nee Hughes.

I haven't looked for other children, but wonder could this Patrick be your guy.

..... and in 1918 this same couple had Bridget Teresa and in 1919 a daughter Sheelah Mary registered in Ardee, both give home address as Smarmore.
