The importance of being Earnest (& George)
« on: Saturday 07 November 20 15:30 GMT (UK) »
I wondered if anyone could help me with a couple of relatives.

I have got to a piece on my tree where (I shall post an image). And I wondered can anyone see what the marriage should be for George (son of Thomas and Martha) and "May" Fouldes? I found one that said 1909 but on the 1911 census they have a child, George, who was born in 1907. I find it hard to believe they would have had a child out of wedlock.

Don't suppose anyone can see when the family members died as well? I can't find George junior or Earnest!

Thanks,
M
Fouldes.<br />Any area where our family are.  My branch started around Derbyshire, Nott's and Yorkshire.  We ended up in South Lincolnshire!  So yay!  Course any area with Fouldes in would help!  See my family tree below for what gaps I have!  Cheers!

Would also like to see any Beaumont's from Sheffield as I have lots of family photos & can't identify them!!

I do apologise. George Fouldes (Foulds) as I said in my second paragraph. The census details are here:

(I will copy and paste later in case that link doesn't work!) Thank you.

Have you looked up their children's births on freebmd then used that info to find May’s maiden name on the GRO website?  Mmn was Nixon on Ernest’s birth reg - June qtr 1909

How old were the couple?

Could it be one had been married before and the child belonged to him or her?

Yes just found that one - Jun 1908 so before the birth of George Dec 1910 and Ernest Jun 1909.

Where do you have George born 1907 please?  I see the mix up now 4 months not 4 years :)
