2x leaving Argentina as missionaries - 1920?

I have two ladies leaving Buenos Aires, Argentina, August 1920 bound for Southampton, England. Both are listed as "missionaries", which they were not. One had lived in Brazil for 18 years, both were British nationals returning to England on  the Royal Mail Lines vessel, Avon.

Why would they be listed this way?

Looking at the image (21st August 1920?)  the lady who lived in Brazil (and others) are  listed under a James Roberts whose occupation is Missionary.
The dots in the occupation column, I think, just mean her occupation is not noted, if she was a missionary it would be "do." Looking at the other passengers this looks about right.

Yes it looks like the only missionary on that voyage was James Roberts who embarked at Rio. The three ladies listed below his name all embarked at Pernambuco, not Buenos Aires.
