Cooper Family History

I'm reposting the image of the 3 children including the back of the image.

Peter said that it would be useful in order to date it...

Thanks

I think it might be this

https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=840229.msg7061826#msg7061826

The back looks 1860s to me but best wait for Jim and Carol to confirm.

This is useful~

Having looked through some of my ref books , I would say that  the clothing suggests that it is most likely to be mid to late 1860s. Possibly early 1870s.

I think late 60s early 70s and think the child is most likely to be a boy. I wonder why the curtain is pulled round the back?

Is the curtain there to conceal the posing stand, Carol, that you can just see under the chair?

Though why you'd need a posing stand for this particular shot isn't clear?

I thought it might be at first but I think it could be the bottom of the curtain. Unless the child was meant to be seated and the stand was for lad and the curtain was pulled across to hide it!
