Burial of Samuel NEWINGTON 1669

Samuel NEWINGTON Gent of Wick, Hove  published his Will 17 Jun 1669.  The Will was Proved 10 July 1669.

I am unable to locate Samuel's burial and hoping for some assistance please.

There is a record for a Sam Newington buried 27/2/1669 St Marys church, Eastbourne, Sussex.

It occurs to me the date is out as this burial occurred in February 1669 whereas Samuel published his Will 17 Jun 1669 and the Will was Proved 10 July 1669?
