Yes, I started doing that very early in the first lockdown. Hope everyone sending me cards at Christmas will be doing the same!

Never lick an envelope, haven't done that for years. I use a little glue stick but put a scrap piece of paper underneath to prevent whatever you lean the envelope on getting sticky!

Glad that stamps are self adhesive now too.  Praise be for the little things.

Howard Hughes was so paranoid about germs that he famously wore Kleenex boxes on his feet!  ;D

I just don’t seal my cards, haven’t done for years. I just tuck the flap in old school. My logic years ago was that there had been cases in the paper about light fingered posties sadly, so I figured as my cards never had money in them, if I just tucked them in, they’d realise they weren’t worth opening. Plus I never liked the taste of envelope glue.....

The time my post is taking to arrive recently, I don't think there's much chance of any virus surviving.  ;D ;D

Our post isolates in the porch for 3 days before being opened... then use gloves and an old knife to slit open envelopes...

Am I right in thinking that ‘in the old days’ if you didn’t seal an envelope but just tucked it in the postage was less... or is that just a figment if my imagination!
