Birth Register deciphering

Hi,

I there any chance someone far better than me could decipher the note attached to the birth register of Alexander Wright.
I know he's illegitimate and I can work out "Mary Wright wife of William Stoddart ......... the father of this child ............" but I cant work out the rest!

& that she has not seen him, or
