Its a great free resource and added to all the time by volunteers.

Sometimes names vary so I often use the soundex option.

I tried to look for a Will on-line for Robert c 1827 but Devon is not my area of expertise.

There's a very good index of Devon wills provided by the Devon Wills Project
https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/DEV/DevonWillsProject

Seeing the actual will is a different matter, as so many were destroyed in WW2. The exception to that is the Inland Revenue copies of wills 1812-1857, code IRW in the index, which can be viewed on Familysearch.
https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/573927?availability=Family%20History%20Library

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be anything for Robert, Mary or George.  There is a Richard Coysh of Highweek, 1834, https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:939F-PX3K-B?i=107&cat=573927  , but he doesn't mention any relatives except for his wife and daughter.

This is wonderful, thank you. I don't know if I will ever find out about George's early family but I am so grateful for all of this information, I had no idea that all of this existed and I am so excited to learn about it.
Many thanks
Alison
