Hoping to find possible death of Benjamin , who I think emigrated to Cape Town. He was born 1829 and may have married his second wife in 1862 Any help much appreciated

Esther Cashmore age 23 father Joseph Cashmore occ Brass Founder

Marriage 15 Sep 1851 at St George, Newcastle under Lyme

Thanks Rosie , that is correct and he was born in 1829 at Stoke Prior , Worcestershire so emigrating from England , hope this helps

Those two results you gave are actually on someone else's tree I am double checking as firstly I did not know he had a Smith as middle name , I did see a Benjamin Smith Altree but he was from London, I am wondering if the tree owner went down wrong path .
My Benjamin put a notice in newspaper in 1857 saying he was no longer responsible for any debts of Esther his wife. She actually went into Powick Asylum in 1861 until she died in 1908

Were his parents Edward Altree & Ann Phillips.

Yes , in my family book it says he was the second son of Edward and Ann Altree
